Don’t buy it.
It was great while it was functional. Last evening (12/16/19} while using two burners, it quit. “No power” The brkr had tripped. I reset it & touched the on/off control to restart. There was a loud pop & the brkr tripped again. There was nothing wrong with the wiring connections. I’ve owned the unit less than 100 days & it gets very little use. I talked with an Amazon rep. She tried to connect me with Gasland Chef & after 5 min. advised me to call them (warranty 1 yr.) don’t know what that means. After 3hrs of trying to talk with a rep I succeeded. He told me to take pictures of the wiring in my power panel & stove connections & send him the photos. I don’t know how to send pictures on the internet & don’t intend to learn. I told him I was a retired Navy chief petty officer & merchant mariner first engineer with 40 yrs experience in electrical problems & there was nothing wrong with the elec connections. I was telling him I’d send the stove top to him & he hung up on me. I need a stove now not in the future. I won’t be using Gasland Chef products anymore.

Doesn’t work after 2-3 months of usage.
What I like about it. Drop in makes it easier to service/inspect. Flat top makes it easier to clean. Controls make sense. Honestly i was quite happy about it when it worked. It’s a very affordable option. Then we get to the bad stuff.Setting 4-5 don’t work.2-3 months of using it and now I’m getting “Error 3” which just says to contact the supplier. If it doesn’t work, I’m not sure how I can do more than 1 star. Breakers have been reset. Professionally installed. I’m tired of disassembling my cabinetry and resetting the breaker trying to get it to work. It did before (twice). Not sure if I’ll get lucky again.Buy another one and roll the dice?

Good value for the money, Big on the top and compact drop-in footprint
The product is great and looks cool. I have a granite counter top that had a very old stove top and its drop in size was super small. This product worked awesome. Also my old top required a 20Amp and this one requests a 30Amp but I have yet to trip the breaker!

The strongest and hottest cook top I’ve ever had
Oh my, I’m cured. Never would want to get back to gas or electric. Induction is so much stronger and hotter then anything I had before, even the huge 21.000 tri-ring BTU burner – and it’s “just” 3kW for the main burner; do the math. (hint: conductive heat transfer equation)Yep, induction beats every other way cooking. A pot of hot water boils within a minute or two, incredible. Cleaning is so much easier, don’t forget. To this particular product is all about the user interface. Not as easy to use, but not too bad. You need to click first the power on button, then the side, then the power level. For my taste a bit too much clicking especially when you need to adjust a pot quickly.Otherwise the power boost really is something of POWER. I like (and also dislike) the way it limits the power boost for two simultaneous sides, even though it has two zones. But well, who can manage two power boots pans at once…. Also it is very light weight and super easy to install. Check your electric. It has not too crazy requirements in breaker size, but still, it’s significant.I can only give that 5 out of 5 stars with only little room of improvement.

Nice cooktop for medium cook jobs
The cooktop looks elegant. It is really good for liquid based dishes. For solid or semi-solid dishes, setting the right power level can be challenging due to pulsed ON/OFF power control. Also, for some cooking a larger diameter ring would be nice. Overall, after 2 weeks of cooking on this induction cooktop, I like it and would buy it again.

Easy to use, great for cooking
This was very easy to install. The four burners are spaced well, able to fit 10″ skillet and large stock pot next to each other without crowding. Boils water fast! The controls are simple to use and adjust. The locking feature is convenient and I like that there is a timer feature to allow for shut off when needed if unattended. We installed this into our Class A motor home replacing the existing 2 burner electric stove top. This unis doe not put off much heat while cooking, compared to the electric stove top that would radiate heat. Would highly recommend.

works great
We were looking for to burner electric cook top. Lots of plug in 120V options out there, but are relatively low wattage. Found this one in same price range, lots of power, installs easy, works perfect. As long as you can run a 240V circuit to where you want the cook top, this is a great option. I had a question regarding the grounding of the unit, as the manual gave conflicting instructions. Called customer support, they answered the phone right away and were able to clear any confusion. I am highly recommending this cooktop.

New to induction cooking and it’s fantastic. Nice looking and easy to use unit. Definately recommend.
Amazon Customer –
I bought the unit in April 2020 but due to my delay in my renovation caused by Covid factors I was unable to instal it until end of August 2020.The unit works when it works but for some unknown reason often seems to stop workingThe only way to solve the problem so far has been got to the electrical panel and shut off the dedicated breakerto the unit, then turn it on again. We have had to do this probably 100 times! Pulling our hair out here!Gasland doesn’t seem to have a way to reach them to trouble shoot this problem.Really very frustrated about this.If Gasland could help me resolve this problem I would be happy to write a favourable review but with this level of apparent unavailable customer service I’d say DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

This is a great little cooktop. I had a problem with my cooktop. Got ahold of gas land and they replace it. Nice and professional to deal with.

May, 2021 – Addendum to review below-After ONLY 15 months of moderate use, we suddenly heard a loud “BANG!” while both elements were cooking at power-level-7. Possibly just a fuse?Anyhow- The stove DIED. It is now junk! And NO HELP from GASLAND! CAVEAT EMPTOR, FOLKS. Gasland don’t care about you.====== Original Review from 2020: =============================Note that it is 240Volts, not the standard 120 volts for small “household appliance”.What is good about 240Volts? Well, you can get TWICE as much power heating up 2 big pots of ..whatever.If you DO NOT understand electricity, DO NOT attempt to install this yourself. – Get an electrician!Otherwise, use a 30AMP circuit breaker, NMD2-12 wire from the panel, and a special socket and plug that cannot be used for the standard 120volt circuits. You can buy these Leviton plugs on US-Amazon, but strangely not in Canada! ;-)Or, if your electrician insists, install the BIG 50 amp plugs and NMD1-10 wire used for kitchen stoves (overkill, but hey! That’s North America standards!)Our only complaint is that the child-proof lock button is too close to the other controls, and I often accidentally touch it when adjusting oher controls. The “lock” button should be completely over on the other side, away from the I/O and power controls etc. For this you get a star removed! Sorry! 😉
