2011 Subaru Forester Hikity Android head unit 6+128gb.
I was skeptical about making this purchase for an unknown brand(to me) and especially not being able to find more information about this specific model 6+128gb. This unit is more than half the price of the more popular Idoing head units for Subarus but I was on a budget and gave this brand a shot to replace the factory unit. After unboxing the unit, it was confusing at first because the instruction shows that this was for a Subaru Forester WRX. That threw me off but I went ahead and installed it anyways. I was actually amazed by the overall sound quality and how well it fit. The equalizer settings are fully customizable for a future speaker and subwoofer upgrades. This unit was very easy to install because It came equipped with plenty of wire connectors and a back up camera. I have not installed the cam yet, I used the factory radio antenna cord but I won’t be using the gps. The touch screen has instant response and is very easy to navigate or customize. It also has wireless Apple CarPlay/Android auto capability, so no cords are needed unless you want extra charging cords (2x usb 4pin and 6pin cords included).Total install time was about 15 minutes. I would recommend buying a screen protector of your choice to help with fingerprints, glare and damage to the screen (shown in photo). So far everything is great without any issues. The quality of the unit is very good and I would recommend this specific model for any 2009-2013 Subaru Forester head unit upgrade.

    Absolute perfection
Perfect fit & function. No cons, Al pros. 2010 forester. Best addition to the car ever. Bright easy to use screen and navigation. Amazing value. Perfect connection.

    Not it
Application: 2012 Subaru Impreza WRX w/ sound systemThe instructions are not great. I’ve installed a few head units, so I figured it out. I chose not to use the rear camera feature. It will not work with the steering wheel (I knew this).I do wish there was just more insight on the apps and the features. When it worked, it was really nice. AA is clunky. I’ve used a few different phones, and it’s subpar. It rarely works smoothly. I’ve only had it installed for a few months, minimal use because I do not daily it, and the now the touch just stopped working.Do NOT recommend from my experience. I took too long to install and missed my return window.

Excellent stereo. Exceeded my expectations. I thought I needed better speakers, but this unit sounds so much better than the factory stereo did. Totally upgraded the car. Android Auto works great, never loses connection like some systems I’ve experienced. Installation was SUPER EASY. (2010 Subaru Forester)

    Works great!
Installed this in my 2011 Subaru Impreza last night, 5-18-2025. Wished the wiring harness was longer to make the installation easier. The included radio antenna harness was not compatible with my vehicle’s connector, but de-pinning and swapping over to the original pig tail shell fixed that issue. Powered it on, verified it was 6gb ram and 128gb storage. I chose to go with 6gb ram because in the past, I had another branded 2gb model in my 2011 WRX and it was laggy as heck. 4gb ram may have been more than enough, but I didn’t want to risk the lag again.Haven’t installed the backup camera yet, but will do so later this week. I imagine it should be fine since I had it working before on my other vehicle. For what it is, the sound is pretty good. I don’t have any amps or woofers in the car, but it does sound better than the original head unit that came with the car. There are some preset settings, but I haven’t played around with those yet.Other than those listed, the unit works pretty well. It is quick. Android Auto works fine, but it would disconnect around 15-20, minutes in. It may be my phone or I may need to play around with the settings a bit.
