Works easily IF current plan allowed to expire
This 12 month membership is great, bringing my monthly fee to access the Xbox Network to a reasonable amount. This option, and ease it works (after waiting for the previous plan TO COMPLETELY EXPIRE).Just understand if it is applied before your active plan expires, you will just put the total value of the card into a continuation of the current plan. Doesn’t seem to be any way around this, but it is still 100% convenient to just let current plan expire, they use the new card, automatically starting the plan shown on the card.Cheers!

Ratio is 3:1
If you’re an existing subscriber, the Game Pass Core to Game Pass Ultimate ratio conversion is 3:1, and you won’t find that unless you search for that specifically online. Otherwise, when you look up the conversion ratio, you’ll find 3:2, from Microsoft, and it won’t say for new or returning customers only. You won’t even be told when you go to make the conversion that the ratio is going to give you half of what you expected. $30 rip off for me, done with Microsoft at this point. You also can’t refund existing subscriptions under the refund a subscription option either, or at least the website said I couldn’t. Customer support was awful, really bad. Has hung up on (wasn’t speaking loudly or cursing, was just reading my product key, mid sentence was hung up on, no call back) and audio quality was terrible. That was under request a call, since the bot on the main Microsoft customer support number said I couldn’t be helped multiple times under multiple calls. Don’t buy this expecting a 3:2 conversion if you’re already subscribed to Ultimate. You’ll get half your monies with instead. Honestly, if you don’t play a lot of different tiles, specifically Game Pass Ultimate titles, you’re better off waiting for a sale and just buying the games outright and just using Core to be able to play online. It can be cheaper if you do it that way depending on how and how much you game. Overall, very dissatisfied, feel lied to directly from Microsoft’s own website, and not worth the money to me by any means (especially for someone who doesn’t have much due to medical issues). $60 for 4 months is $15 a month, twice what it would’ve been if I wasn’t an existing customer, for the conversion. If you just want to play online, it’s fine. Expensive imo, but nothing out of the ordinary (PC through Steam is free, just the internet bill, while a PC cost more upfront, yes I have one too, it can be cheaper in the long run depending on how you build and use it).
