I discovered this company a while ago and am obsessed with their lamps. My son loves them as well but has limited outlets in his place so I got him this for Christmas. I wanted to check it so opened the box- impressed once again with the wrapping they do, explains how they get sent from Turkey and get here intact! I was concerned about the battery placement as reviews mentioned it was open and obvious. The one we got has a small metal battery case on the bottom with a cover. The lamp itself is as beautiful as they always are, I chose the amber as it was more masculine than the ones I have and it’s simple gorgeous- we use color changing bulbs so he can change the colors and no cords so it can go anywhere he pleases. Exceptional products from an exceptional seller!

Perfectly Pretty Little Cordless Accent Lamp
What a great idea it was to take one of these Moroccan/Turkish globe lamps and add battery power so it’s not tethered by a cord. It looks exactly like the corded lamp we have with three hanging globes, and provides just the perfect amount of accent light. ♥ Bonus: no bulb changing like there is with the corded lamps (which can be a dangerous/shattering affair even if you’re careful)!As you can see in my second pic, the light source is basically just four LED emitters, which are the tiny square sources of light you see along modern adhesive light strips. Seems they chose a nice 4000K neutral (not warm, not cold) white for the lights, so it’s clean light without looking yellow or like you’re in a laboratory. LED emitters do dim over time; they don’t burn out like light bulbs, they just sort of… dim out? So one day (hopefully years from now!) this will go dark. No big deal, really, because there’s plenty of room in there to position a small LED light or tea light with a remote. I see several ways to mod this thing in the future.It’s indeed a bummer to see the battery compartment underneath it if you’re displaying it overhead, but that’s not an issue here. (If it was, I’d fashion some sort of flap or dish to put under it so it was hidden.) Not sure how else they could hide it. Nice crisp little switch, glad to see that. For now we’re using rechargeable batteries, and if there’s kooky consumption I’ll come back and edit this review—ditto if the lights dim out too quickly—but for now, thumbs up on the innovation! Pleased with the purchase and do recommend.

Cute! But with a caveat…
Anytime I order a fragile item online I’m anxious, but this was wrapped quite securely. There were a few beads that had fallen off during transport but nothing too extreme to notice anything was missing. It’s a cinch to assemble and I’m happy with the overall attractiveness and quality of this piece. With a caveat, below. The light is a far brighter and cooler white than I was expecting—awesome, because I dislike the warm yellow, dim hue that plagues similar LED pieces I own. It throws a lovely and intricate pattern when lit and fits perfectly into my boho decor. I ordered in “teal” and when unlit, it feels predominately blue-ish but when turned on, Kelly green takes center stage.Beyond the fact that this is ultimately a disposable piece because you cannot replace the light source (and thus I feel guilty purchasing such items), my gripe is I’m bummed out by the cheap look and design of the battery housing… as it definitely detracts. On the piece I received, the batteries rest directly against the surface you place it—no cover at all. As the lamp’s footed base is open, you can clearly see the black plastic battery housing beneath the lamp; as my batteries are bright orange, you can even see the batteries from some angles. This is all due to the bottom of the battery housing being flush with the ornate feet. Not such a big deal if you’ve placed it on a low table or under the average eye line, but mine is on a 4-1/2′ high shelf. So this is a fabulous piece to gaze down upon but not so terrific to look directly at/up if you’re a little OCD about such things. Overall it’s definitely crafted with care, and, except for the battery housing, doesn’t suffer from the quality issues that plague other economical imports sold here.

It is just so beautiful! It is bigger than I thought and fits really well in the corner space of my bathroom. It is exactly what I need for that space, as I don’t need to use a power point, being battery operated. Only needs 3 AA batteries, perfect! I would advise, when you first put the batteries in, it did not come on so I turned the batteries around a bit and then light came on and has worked perfectly since. The bulb is different to the normal ones we are used to. The bulb is actually a disc with 3 small flat led lights in it, interesting. I hope it will be easy to buy and replace – this is where I need your help, how do we replace the bulb if it needs to be replaced?
