A very attractive and well made duvet cover, beautifully presented
I have had the Pacific Blue duvet cover from Saffron Marigold for more than six months now. I am crazy in love with this duvet cover! It is everything I had wanted and more! First of all, the product itself is of high quality, well made, with much appreciated extra little details, like openings for your hands in order to straighten out the comforter inside of the duvet cover. The block print wave pattern is very striking, and the duvet cover has a tremendous impact on the room in which it is placed. The colors have not faded with repeated washings. The material the duvet covers is made of is a substantial cotton that feels good against the skin. Beyond the quality of the duvet cover, the presentation of the product is impressive–it arrived accompanied by a handmade card containing detailed information about the labor-intensive, block print process used to make the duvet cover, and also containing instructions regarding its care. One rarely sees products that involve this kind of hand-crafting these days! In summary, I feel as good about purchasing this duvet cover (and thereby supporting the company and craftsmen who make it) as I do sleeping under it every night.

Fabric is paper thin
Beautiful design, however, the fabric is fragile and thin, my dogs nails have made two holes. I’ve never had her nails puncture anything..

Bought these for our place overseas. The cotton is quite rough. My wife says it reminds her of her duvet cover in college!

Great Quality and Customer Service
The duvet cover is gorgeous and a nice sturdy cotton. On top of it all the customer service is amazing. Amazon had updated the information just before I ordered and added on that there were three pieces (the duvet and two pillow cases) when that is not how Saffron Marigold sells their product. When the duvet arrived without the pillow cases I emailed to say there had been a mistake with the order. Saffron Marigold found what Amazon had done and despite the fact that it was not Saffron Marigold’s mistake they honored the order as Amazon had described it. The pillow cases arrive last week and they are also amazing. I highly recommend this company both for the quality of their bedding and for their customer service.

Very attractive and well made: had mine for 10 years now
Terrific — I bought this in January of 2014 and 10 years later it still looks just as good as when I bought it.So the material and the dye was of very good quality.Note: I don’t know why it’s listed as “geometric” when it’s really more of a wave pattern that can remind you of the beach or mountains but isn’t angular in any way.The only problem I’ve ever had with it was actually because of my dog and that was after 8 years of him sleeping on it: one day he jumped on or off of it with enough force for his claws to make a tiny hole in it. The hole’s grown a little bit bigger, so I’m going to take it to my favorite Dry Cleaner to have her stitch it up instead of buying a new one since it still looks perfect otherwise.This may not be cheap, but it should last you a good 10 years or more if you take care of it…

Unique design and fully reversible
The duvet cover is lovely. I have had it a couple months and washed in cold regular cycle and tumble dry on low setting. The color has remained true and if there was any shrinkage I didn’t notice. One small issue: I like to put the button closure at the FOOT of my bed … but the “waves” seem upside down this way. For the duvet to appear as it does in the photo … the button closure has to go at the head of the bed. Not a deal-breaker … but minus 1 star for that. Unlike cheaper duvet covers, this one has “extra” access so it is easy to get the clamp thingies on BOTH ends of your comforter. Nice feature. It is a unique and beautiful piece of bedding – fully reversible. The “other” side has a sea shell motif which I love. I bought matching pillow shams and shower curtain and am happy with the set minus a couple minor imperfections. These items are expensive but worth it. I am saving-up to buy another set from this company. Other than minor issues, the quality is excellent and the products are hand-made which i like to support companies that preserve traditional arts like hand-block printing. Mass-produced items never have quite the same soul or beauty.

Lovely artisan bedding
This isn’t the first time I’ve bought from Saffron Marigold and certainly won’t be the last. The quality is wonderful: thick cotton that softens with washing, in vibrant colors, beautiful patterns (which don’t fade if washed carefully), and small details like shell buttons instead of a zipper and small buttoned openings at the opposite end of the enclosures to make the dreaded duvet insertion easier. This bedding feels like a labor of love and as handmade by artisans, I can sleep happier knowing it wasn’t made in some sweatshop.

Saffron Marigold Duvet permanently stained my sheets and duvet!
This duvet cover permanently stained my duvet and sheets. I purchased this duvet cover several years ago directly from Saffron Marigold and followed the cleaning directions on the Saffron Marigold website (which remain the same today) and washed them in cold water. After a 3-4 washes the color faded dramatically (which took away from their beauty) but I thought that might prevent them from continuing to stain my linens so I used them with a new pair of sheets which caused them to be permanently stained also. I noticed that their cleaning directions on amazon states that this duvet cover is “dry clean only” so it is strange that their website states otherwise. The fabric is high quality cotton-very soft!- and their prints are beautiful which tempts me to try them again but I can’t risk staining more sheets and another duvet so I’m not likely to make another Saffron Marigold purchase. When I initially contacted the company about the problem they told me that hey would not return the duvet cover but that they would give me a discount on a future purchase but since there is no guarantee that the same problem won’t happen again this solution was not helpful to me.
