the best thing ever for little lads
Oh boy was this ever the most perfect product and so fast!I work with 7 little lads between the ages of 4 and 12 at a children’s home and decided to do some models with them as I had as a kid. They were so hard to find – and I don’t know why – it brought such incredible joy to little lads with hard lives. The models were just hard enough to be thrilling and a source of pride at accomplishment, but just easy enough that even the 5 year had great success. The cars were of fantastic metal die cast quality – have moving parts and have now endured many hours of play with doors that open wide enough to stuff things in and have races – oh yeah! Really the best! What more can be said when a little boy whose had a hard life is holding the car aloft proclaiming it to be the best day of his life! And then cradles the car like a baby while I read him bed time story because he just can’t put the car down! I have no idea why models aren’t popular any more, but I’ve been making rockets, aircrafts, and race cars with these kids and nothing pleases them more than to actually build stuff that looks so cool. It’s such a source of pride and accomplishment. Of all the models we’ve built, these race cars are by far the very best and very best quality. I immediately purchased more after the first one when I saw how great it was – and no messy glue – everything fits perfectly. It’s the perfect project to complete in one afternoon….after homework, of course! The best thing I’ve ever seen in all the world is the light of joy in little kids eyes and do these models every put it there! I VERY highly recommend them without reserve!

Very good quality for the price, easy to assemble, can be improved by adding minor details.

As described
I bought it for my boys 10 and 11 years old. They had lots of fun. It was really easy and they only took about 30 minutes to build, being their first time. Next time I’ll get one with a little more work to build. My boys really like them. At first I thought It was very flimsy, but when I opened it, I noticed that i was wrong it’s not all plastic. It’s as described.

Exceeded all expectations
All I have to say is….I never expected such a strong reaction to a gift as with this one. I purchase this toy a few weeks ago for my nephew’s 8th birthday and he loved it! So did his father!!! Turns out, they were both “fighting for it”. My nephew has resorted to hiding his car inside his pillow case and telling his dad he mysteriously lost the car…Dad’s argument for keeping the toy from my nephew is silly and yet, very complimentary: “It is just too beautiful a toy for a kid”. He is afraid it might get broken. The fact that my nephew literally sleeps with this toy inside his pillow tells me that the toy is not only durable, but inspiring. I think the toy has awakened a sense of pride and ownership in my nephew that I did not expect. He is so happy with it! As for the dad, he may just have to get his own car and channel his inner kid some other way…:-)

Very nice product 1:24 size – sometimes the headlight doesn’t stick, so I used a glue to stick it, everything else is OK.
