I’ve Never Used A Compact Flash This Cool Before
You should buy this flash. The form factor, the features, the ease of use, the compatibility with multiple camera brands (assuming you get multiple of the base units to match), the battery life, the quality of the light, the included accessories, I simply love everything about it. I’ve been using this on both my X-H2 and my X-E5. I’ve actually been using this more than my iT30 Pro at this point – being able to use the base as a trigger while holding the flash in my other hand to position off-camera is just so valuable and such a cool feature. This is the functionality I wish all of my other flashes had. At this point I’m using this far more than even my V1 – it’s less bulky, it recycles more quickly, and I can recharge it via USB. It even has the familiar magnetic attach points for the included gels. I simply cannot say enough good about this nifty little piece of kit. Whether you’re shooting street or portraits or nightlife or really any kind of low-light photography and you want that extra little flair to your images, this is absolutely the flash for you.

Magnetic Magic: The Pocket-Sized Flash Revolution That Changes How I Shoot Events Forever
I have handled countless flashes over the years, from massive studio strobes to tiny pop-up units, but nothing quite prepared me for the sheer genius of the Godox iT32 with the X5-C trigger. When I first held this kit, I was skeptical that something so compact could truly replace my bulky speedlight setup for weddings and events. I was wrong. The modular design is frankly mind-blowing. The way the iT32 flash body magnetically snaps onto the X5-C trigger—which sits snugly in my Canon’s hot shoe—is incredibly satisfying. It’s not just a mount; it’s a seamless ecosystem. I can shoot with the flash on-camera one second, and with a simple pull, detach the head while the X5 trigger stays behind, instantly converting my setup into an off-camera wireless system. There are no menus to dig through, no “master/slave” settings to toggle. It just switches modes automatically. That kind of fluidity is a game-changer when I’m chasing a bride and groom through a reception and need to switch lighting angles on the fly.The performance packed into this pint-sized unit is startling. I tested the High-Speed Sync (HSS) extensively, and it didn’t miss a beat. While standard HSS on my Canon tops out at 1/8000s, knowing this unit is engineered to handle up to 1/80000s for global shutter systems gives me immense confidence in its tech capabilities; it is incredibly fast and responsive. The TTL metering is spot-on, nailing exposure in changing lighting conditions without me needing to ride the flash compensation dial constantly. For a unit this small—it literally fits in my pocket—the output is impressive. It’s perfect for fill flash or bouncing light in a medium-sized room. I found the recycle time to be snappy, keeping up with my rapid-fire shutter during key moments like the bouquet toss. One of my absolute favorite features is the built-in USB-C charging. I am officially done with fumbling for AA batteries in the dark. I can charge this unit in my car or with a power bank between shoots, which eases my anxiety on long event days. The touchscreen interface on the back of the iT32 is crisp, responsive, and intuitive, making it easy to adjust power or settings without squinting at cryptic abbreviations. The magnetic accessory mount is another brilliant touch; slapping on the diffusion dome takes less than a second and transforms the light quality from hard to soft and flattering instantly.Using the X5-C trigger feels like a cheat code. It is so low-profile that I leave it on my camera even when I’m not using the flash, just in case. Because it acts as both the hot shoe mount and the transmitter, I never have to worry about forgetting a trigger at home. The reliability of the 2.4G wireless connection is rock solid; I walked clear across a banquet hall and still triggered the off-camera flash without a misfire. For portrait and wedding photographers who value speed, portability, and a streamlined workflow, this kit isn’t just a new tool—it’s a liberation from heavy gear and complicated setups. I honestly cannot imagine going back to a traditional locking hot-shoe flash after experiencing this magnetic freedom.

THE MOST innovative flash I’ve ever used. There is so much good about his unit. Just BUY IT!
Holy heck is this flash AMAZING! Seriously, It’s my very favorite flash now. Not because it’s the most powerful (it isn’t). It just happens to be the most useful flash I now own. There are so many innovative features it’s hard to actually tell about all of them. You can read the specs, they are impressive. The best features for me:Size: it’s small and lightweight.Battery life: It has a built in battery that you just charge with USB-C (GOOD STUFF).Modular: My favorite feature. Can use on multiple camera bodies by different manufacturers. The magnet mount is swappable.Menu: Godox is Killin’ it with their engineering of hardware AND software/firmware. It’s the best. So easy to navigate and control every single feature… I haven’t even used the APP yet, which looks to be another sick set of features.Compatibility: This thing will work with all of the major camera brands. Just buy a $15 mount for each. AMAZING!System: A big plus for the Godox units is the network they create. Use this as a commander or slave or neither. So versatile. Pop the flash off in seconds and you now have a wireless flash TRANSMITTER AND RECEIVER. Holy heck!Build quality: It’s somehow built like a lightweight TANK. It’s plastic yet solid and reeks of quality.Battery life: Rated for 510 FULL power flashes on a charge. This little thing? Dang! What’s most interesting is the magnetic features. There are a few. You can remove the shoe and replace it with one for a different camera system. I got the Canon unit, purchased an additional shoe for Sony and within seconds I was shooting Sony with flash… Amazing really! You can use the flash on camera like any other Speedlight/flash. Nothing new there. But the innovative part, you can also remove the flash from the hotshoe while the hotshoe is still installed on the camera. The flash then becomes a WIRELESS flash. Not just that, but an entire WIRELESS flash SYSTEM. With additional Godox and/or Flashpoint flash guns or studio strobes. The V1, the AD600 the AD200 or even the little iT30 units can be used as additional lights in the system. Another magnetic feature is the modifiers that are available. You can use the MA02 accessories with this flash. Lots of colors and types to choose from. Nice stuff too.Considering the price of the Godox gear, you could build out a very powerful lighting kit for less than the cost of a single unit from some of the “Pro” manufacturers (see what I did there, lol?) Anyone starting out today should just jump into the Godox ecosystem. It’s hard to argue for another system unless you need specific features or build quality. What I don’t like:Yeah. Nothing to not like. I really mean that. I have nothing to suggest for upgrades. It’s perfect just like it is. It’s going to change the game. Other companies will copy this too. Glad to see the competition. We keep getting better and more advanced equipment and the price keeps getting lower at the same time. What a time to be alive! There hasn’t been a single issue with any of the Godox equipment I own. It’s been so reliable that I’ve now completely switched to Godox for all of my lighting. My strobes and video COB lights are all Godox now. They just keep changing the game. The other companies need to step it up or they’ll likely have the same issues Arri is now having because of companies like Aputure and what they’ve done to the pro lighting market. Godox is actually stepping up in the Pro continuous lighting world too. It’s about to get much more interesting because they are both very innovative. I’m buckled up to enjoy the ride.
