    Great vacuum!
One of the best vacuums I’ve owned. It works very well. The suction is strong and it stays powered up a while in the low setting. The longer you keep it on high, the quicker the battery goes down. I like the optional feature. It picks up dust that we didn’t know was there. It is very easy to maneuver. The light guides your path in lowly lits areas.

    Love This Vacuum!
We have had this for just over a year or so and have loved using it.Pros:It is light weight but still great quality. We wanted something smaller for our small apartment and now that we live in a house we still only use this vacuum. I love that it is cordless so you don’t have to keep moving the cord around the house. The “Max” or “Turbo” setting works great as well, I usually use that whenever there is a lot to pick up!It has a bunch of attachments so you can you is for many different things like vacuuming couches, getting into corners, and even your car.Cons:I can only think of two cons. 1) I wish the battery lasted a little bit longer, sometimes I have to take a break and finish vacuuming after it charges. 2) When using the main vacuum attachment, it has problems picking things up in “reverse” (when pulling the vacuum backwards). Just something to keep in mind.Overall, very happy with our purchase!

    Meh….
Edited to add – I’ve changed my review from 2 stars to 1. 4 months after I wrote this review, the vacuum has stopped charging entirely. I can’t do anything to get the charger to engage. Now I have a $400 machine in the back of the closet that’s been sitting dead for a week that I can no longer use and I’m having to shop for a new one. I owned the vacuum for barely over a year. My aunt bought an off-brand stick vac on Amazon for a 1/4 of the price a year before I bought my Dyson and hers is still going strong.I was so excited for this vacuum – I bought it for myself as a push present because I was tired of lugging around my heavy, corded Bissell. At first, all seemed great. My whole house is hardwood and it glided over the floor very easily and picked up almost everything (hair and dust, yes – small leaves, bits of food, basically anything that isn’t flat like hair… no). We have a couple very thin rugs in the kitchen with NO ply – this vacuum will do the rugs, but only if you go backwards. If you go forwards the brush stops rolling and it won’t suck up anything. Not the end of the world but just slightly annoying. We have a German Shepherd who loves to lay against the couch and she sheds a LOT. This thing is pretty useless against her pet hair on the fabric couch. After several passes with multiple attachments and using both speeds, it hardly makes a dent in the hair. I get better luck getting it out with my little Bissell dirt vac.The main floor of my house is VERY small, under 1000 sq ft, and the fully charged battery won’t last on the high setting and dies before I can finish doing the whole floor. The high setting is great but if you can only use it for a couple minutes and then need to plug it in again it doesn’t do much good. It would be nice if this thing had a switch or button that just kept it ON while you are using it, instead of having to hold down the trigger the entire time. After a while my hand does start to get pretty sore.Like others have said, this thing is pretty noisy. The low setting isn’t too bad and I can use it while my baby naps, but the high setting SCREAMS. It feels unnecessarily loud. I’ve seen other off-brand knock offs that have a light that shines on the floor while you’re using it; I didn’t realize how handy that would be.Also, after 8 months of owning it, we have a very hard time getting this to charge. Not sure if it’s a problem the charging cord itself or some component inside the motor, but when you plug in the charger it doesn’t engage. I have to wiggle the cord every which direction, pull high/low, to try to get the charging started, and then cross my fingers that when I slowly let go of the cord and walk away that it stays charging. Doesn’t do much good when half the time it’s dead and I can’t get it charged. All in all, the suction is good and straight forward and the vac pivots good on smooth floors, but I wouldn’t recommend this and I’m disappointed with this purchase.

    Love it
Lightweight and easy to use very maneuverable. The design is great can get in small tight places and under low furniture. I just wish the battery would last longer, but then it would be heavier, right.

    Good but has cons.
Although, I do love my Dyson V8…there are cons that stand out more than the pros. Keep in mind that I use mine daily on hardwood floors for kids messes and shedding dogs.CONS:1. The battery life on it is crap! It states 40 minutes but that is not accurate. On LOW power you can get a max use of 35 mins but it doesn’t do well on carpet or pick up anything larger than a piece of hair. On MAX power it will go for about 15 mins at most for high traffic areas and that’s if you do not do carpets or rugs too. I have a 4 bedroom house with carpets only in bedrooms and I can vacuum 3/4 of them on MAX well before it dies. I can get the ardwood/tile of the kitchen, dining, and living room areas on a combo of LOW/MAX before it dies. This is my biggest complaint is thw time constraints.2. The wheels are absolute garbage and will begin to scratch your wood floors within 30 days of use. Learn from my misfortune. I have had to purchase rubber wheels so this did not continue. However, they do not last long and you’ll need to get more every 3m or so.3. The time it takes to fully charge is annoyingly long. It takes around 4 hours to completely charge so plan your cleaning accordingly.4. The chamber where all the debris goes gets clogged and it stops working. This took us a while.to figure out what was wrong with it. Almost had to buy a new one within 6m of our purchase. However we learned that if you blow it out with an air compressor you’re back in business.PROS:1. It is way lighter than an actual corded vacuum. However, I suggest you get a power switch lever because holding the power button the whole time can cause strain. It also leaves an ugly mark on your thumb knuckle due to how it sits if you use it as often as I do. (Could be a con but I didn’t think it was enough to warrant it)2. There is no cord so the cleaning is endless. You know, within time constraints.3. I like that there are so many options of attachments to use. I personally use off brand because they come in larger packages and have had great success with them fitting. Just make sure it says V8 compatible. If dyson made an additional power bank that could switch out this would probably be my favorite vacuum ever. However, between the power needed for cleaning and how little time the charge lasts, I think we should have picked a different model.

The Dyson V8 Plus Cordless Vacuum is powerful, lightweight, and very easy to use. It makes cleaning quick and effortless. On the low power setting, the battery lasts a long time, which is perfect for regular cleaning. The only thing is that on the high power setting, the battery drains very fast. Other than that, I absolutely love this vacuum and highly recommend it.

The hairscrew tool is shown to be included in this set and that is why I bought this set for my pets hair problem but that specific tool is not included and will be returning the complete set.

Nice, practical, easy to store vacuum cleaner. Very nicely designed articulating floor head. Charging quick and has overdrive suction switch for the tough stuff. Light weight. Smallish collection canister, but very easy to empty. I think it is the best engineered cordless vacuum on the market.
