No Need to Hold Back
The Elgato Wave Desk Stand is a sleek and sturdy adjustable stand made for microphones like Elgato, HyperX, RØDE, Fifine, and more. What I love is the adjustable height; you can raise or lower it to get your mic right where you need it, whether you’re podcasting, streaming, or recording. The weighted base keeps it stable on your desk, and it doesn’t take up much space, which is perfect if you’re working in a tight setup. It’s simple, functional, and built with that Elgato quality. If you need a reliable desk stand that works with the most popular microphones, this one is definitely worth it.

Sturdy, well designed, great compact desktop mic stand
A very nice compact desk stand. The base is quite heavy at 4 pounds, meaning no tip-overs. It also has a solid rubber bottom which means no-skid. The boom is solid metal and feels sturdy. The knobs to adjust the boom arms have an extended lever that makes them easy to use. Four silicone ties are included along with two threaded adapters for mounting your microphone. Overall, a really nice mic stand!

Solid, Beautiful, Perfect Engineering
Super sturdy, with a really flexible range of motion and adjustability. Assembly was a piece of cake! It’s the perfect height and length to hold my Shure SM7B right over my desk in my main YouTube studio. The engineering is spot-on, and the price is totally fair for the quality you get.Highly recommended for anyone doing talking-head or podcast-style videos. A must-have piece of gear! 🎙️🎥

Nice stand for light mics but extreme tightening needed to prevent drifting…
I like this mic stand. It’s better looking than my Gator low profile stand and more adjustable. Build is okay—not great—a mix of plastic and metal with a large and heavy base. It works perfectly with a lightweight mic. Heavy mics like the Rode Podmic are iffy: the plastic t-bolts have to be torqued to the extreme to prevent the arms from drifting downwards. And that’s okay if you never need to adjust it again. I do need to adjust the position and angle, and it hurts my fingers to loosen and retighten. A redesign with larger t-handles, a metal ball head on the end and a toothed ratchet on the lower arm that locks securely would be welcome. My workaround is to mount a small Leophoto ball head (table top tripod head) on the end, and attach a light shotgun mic (Sennheiser MKE 600) to the ball head with the 1/4″ to 5/8″ adapter. The ball head articulates 180 degrees and rotates 360 degrees. Best yet, it’s much faster and easier to lock or unlock for quick mic adjustments.

Perfect for what I needed
Outstanding, well balanced desk stand. I’ve had my SM57, Lewitt 240 and Earthworks Ethos all on it and it has been perfect.

Joint clamps are a problem but could be good for certain people.
This stand might have a nice, heavy base, but the mechanism to keep the mic where it needs to be is cheap. If you turn it too hard, then it gets stuck and is painful to get open. The handles for tightening or loosening the grips at the joints are still so small that you can’t get enough leverage to loosen them. If you have a heavy microphone, go with something else. It does NOT hold up my Rode condenser microphone very well at all. If you need to adjust your mic frequently, this is NOT for you. If you have a light mic and want to set it up in one position and never move it. This is great. I think the clamps have to be tightened too much to stay, and when they are easier to move, they’re not stable. The joint clamps keep this from being one of the best desktop mic stands out there.

Very sturdy, the mic stand arms are metal, comes with adapters for different types of mics as well as 4 silicone straps for cable management. The base is quite heavy, heavier than I was expecting but the shell around the base is plastic but is well made. Easy assemby. Definitely worth the price, and I will be buying more from Elgato in the future!

much better than the arms you fix to the desk
