Happy with 8 inch jointer.
Very good piece of equipment. Was packed well and free shipping was great. Easy to assemble. Need a strong helper. 2 people can assemble in about an hour. Was calibrated well from factory. Only had to adjust fence a few thousands to correct 90 degree stop. Everything else was correct, but checked to make sure.Would definitely buy again. Shoo Fox and Grizzly are basically the same tools, except for paint. I have numerous other tools by them and have always had good service.

Really Lucky
When I met the delivery driver I immediately noticed the pallet was in 15 pieces. The cartons looked a bit ragged from what I thought was rough handling and or poor shipping preparation. I was very concerned about possible damage to the machine but I got lucky and there wasn’t any. Jointer was an excellent choice with the helical cutter head. Assembly was easy. Used a engine hoist to place the jointer onto the stand.

Cutter Head alignment problems
The cutter head can’t be adjusted to make it align with the infeed or outfeed tables. On my brand new jointer, both the infeed and outfeed table were out of alignment relative to the cutter head. And by the way, the infeed and outfeed tables need to be parallel to each other. It was a ridiculous puzzle that took days to get close enough for just fair results. Tech support claimed “some alignment is required”, good luck.Not happy
