Added to generator without much of a hitch
The wheels went on perfectly. The rubber supports took a minute to place, but went on without any issues. For some reason I misread the picture and thought the supports were small wheels to help balance the generator. Doh!The handle bar was the main quest. The picture provided “works” but it is a closeup so you can’t tell what is what. (The picture for the rubber supports is also a closeup so trying to figure out the exact “where” takes time.) I put it on the way I thought it would go and nope. Then I reversed it, but then you’d have water getting in the brace. Nope. Saw a great YouTube video that set me on the correct path for the handlebar. As you can tell, this was not my first thought on how it goes on. The brace goes sideways facing the generator. It works and it’s good. I haven’t used it too much, just to push it around to test it. When we need a generator, this will be a great help in getting around. This was for a 4000 / 3500 watts portable generator. Model # 46596. For those of you who complain that it doesn’t fit and you do not have a Champion generator, shame on you for posting 1 star reviews when it says right up front it is for Champion generators only.

Fit my Champion 100216 with no troubles.
Easy to install. Took me about 30 minutes. It fit my Champion 100216 with no troubles. The instructions don’t mention having to remove the rubber vibration mount from the generator to mount the new support leg but other reviewer’s already mentioned that you have to remove the old rubber vibration mount underneath before installing the new support, so thanks for the heads up!The instructions could have used better pictures, especially for mounting the handle. It took me a few tries to get the handle mounted correctly so it lays down in front of the generator to lift it up and let you pull it around easily.I also had mine full of gas & oil as we’ve had power outages just in the last few days, so I just used a floor jack to hold the generator up a couple of inches and mounted the support leg by slipping it onto the bottom without flipping it over or tipping it up on it’s side with no problems.I used to have the generator on a piece of plywood with 4 little coaster wheels on it, but it was awkward at best to move due to its weight and size. It would always catch one of the little wheels on any uneven surface when I’d move it around. Now it’s really easy to move with just it’s two wheels on back. It is definitely worth the money and a little bit of time to install.

    On a roll!
This kit is exactly what I needed!I purchased a champion model 100216 generator from Tractor Supply in preparation for a winter ice storm in our area.TS stocks this particular wheel/handle kit, however they we’re sold out when I bought my generator.I found this kit on Amazon, and as a bonus, the amazon price was nearly $20 cheaper than what TS sells it for!Shipping was lightning fast!I hadn’t even had a chance to set up my new generator and already had the wheel kit delivered! Some people have noted that the instructions were not clear. I did not have any complaints. Instructions were clear and had good picture examples.Pro Tip: If you have the option, I recommend installing the wheels and support bracket BEFORE you fill up the generators oil and fuel tank. Tipping it on its side made tightening the bolts much easier!Took about 10 minutes to install and everything is decent quality and works great!I wouldn’t recommend yanking too hard on the fold away handle. But it seems more than adequate for maneuvering the unit out of storage and into place without breaking my back!

Nice removable mobile kit with a couple flaws…
So I paired my kit up with the Champion 4000-Watt RV Ready Digital Hybrid Open Frame Inverter with Quiet Technology. This fell within the advertised compatibility list for the product however there were a few problems with the kit. First and foremost, if your lucky, install this BEFORE you put oil in your generator or you’ll have lots of thrills and spills.1. Wheels went on nicely. Pre-welded points for them, no need for instructions there.2. Handle wasn’t too hard to install however its a “grip” type of closure and the welded spot to grip against wasn’t quite wide enough for the screw sets that came with the kit. I ended up wrapping the generator pipe around twice with Gaffers tape before putting the handle in and cinching it down.3. Here was the kicker… the static feet. First, the instructions had a one liner saying “bolt to the bottom of the frame” with a single picture that didn’t match. Second, there were no holes at all that matched the size of the static foot frame. With some experimentation I found that I could remove one of the “hard feet” on the generator and carefully remove one of the vibration frame bolts. Then I put the static foot frame on the existing vibration foot bolt (at a slight angle) and had to use a hammer to get the other bolt in (it was about 1/4″ misaligned holes). With some cajoling, I got it in there. Moved the original hard foot to an empty hole (so that I wouldn’t lose it) and then tightened everything up. Be sure to correctly tighten the vibration footer back on so that it doesn’t later become a problem. Not sure I like how the handle works, but its MUCH better than carrying the thing around. I think I’ll keep it 🙂

    Fits great, easy to install
Works exactly as you would expect. only call out for me is with the wheels installed, just barely too tall for the bed cover on my F150. Solution, I take the wheels of when we go camping until we get to the campsite.

  6. Amazon Customer

The wheels are easy to install, as well as the other items that come with the kit. This kit makes it so much easier to move the generator around!

  9. DBUS

Great purchase for my Champion generator that was purchased without wheels, conversion kit worked well other than 2 minor issues.1. Came with a second handle that I could not have installed as I was not able to locate where it goes.2. Bracket/support legs on the handle side was only able to be installed using one screw as the other screw hole was located under generator unit on frame. All in all, it works well!

  10. Amazon Customer

The handle doesn’t feel as secure as it could at the connection point on the frame….otherwise, it is a good product and it really does help when moving my very heavy generator… and everything fit correctly.( Champion 4000w camo edition)
