Totally worth the money!
My bf got a 100% alpaca wool blanket from Ecuador as a gift, and he loved it so much he kept saying he wanted a poncho.I went online and this one was the only one that stood out to me because it’s 70% alpaca and 30% sheep wool, so no acrylics or synthetic fabrics – which is amazing and totally worth the money. It feels and looks a lot like the blanket he got, so I know it’s legit!It’s thin and light but very warm, soft and well made. My bf is 6ft and 165lbs and it fit him perfectly, but it might be a bit too long for short people. The hood is snug, and the buttons are easy to use. I really like the black and white color pattern.It came with a coin purse and a tiny alpaca!!I totally recommend this brand if you’re looking for an authentic and high quality poncho from Ecuador.

Unbelievable!!!When I hit it it was so light I said this is trash. Man was I wrong. It’s supposed be light, any part of your body that’s covered stays absolutely warm.

I absolutely love this alpaca poncho.The moment I put it on, I knew it was a keeper.No, actually once I took it out of the bag, I knew that it was.It’s soft as velvet, warm without feeling bulky, and honestly feels like a hug from grandma— comforting, and cozy in all the right ways.The fabric looks and feels high-quality on both sides, seams are neatly finished, giving it a clean polished look inside and out. See video.I’m 5‘10“ tall and it falls to my lower calves, so it’s a generous one size fits most. Scam product
I purchased two of these (AHUAY ponchos) only because they claimed 70% Alpaca / 30% Sheep wool (no acrylics). This is a lie. I scraped enough lint off to twist into a heavy string, then:1) Did a burn test. Real wool tends to self-extinguish with a burning hair smell. This material burns like a rocket with a chemical smell. DO NOT WEAR THIS NEAR A CAMPFIRE, WHILE SMOKING, OR NEAR AN OPEN FLAME!!2) I also tested in 7.5% bleach. Samples of my own hair and another source of real wool dissolved completely in less than 10 minutes; but this fiber did not disolve at all (because it is synthetic), even after 45 minutes.On a side note, I ordered two different patterns but received two of the same.This scam is selling a $20 synthetic poncho (likely from China and not from “indegenous woven in Ecuador”) for $120.

Great for lounging
I think this thing is awesome! It is lightweight, yet incredibly warm. My wife thinks it is a bit goofy, just because you don’t see these all that much in the US, but people don’t know what they are missing. It is incredibly well-made, soft and very comfortable, plus gives free-range of motion. It is a bit pricey, but it makes a statement.
