    DIY Filmmaker
Great approach to a guide book for those wishing to make a movie. His approach is about as practical as it gets. For those of us making the first “real” movie, he speaks direct to budgets, technique and does so from a very practical and reasonable point of view. If you have nothing more than a smartphone and an idea, this is a really good book to read. Or if you are a professional and could use a kick-in-the-pants refreshing look at new ideas – this also is a good read.

a helpful intro worth the fair price
husband2mom2karen writingThis was a very helpful introduction to new software, clearly written and well organized. Lacks depth for further study but a good place to start and a very fair price. Does have pictures in many places to help clarify what the author is explaining.

FINAL CUT PRO X 10.2 CAN BE EASY
Very good book. Short and sweet and to the point, with plenty of illustrations to go along with the written descriptions. The photos could have been sharper and stood out more to make it even easier to see what the written words are about. For a beginner like me, this book is an essential asset to learning Final Cut Pro X 10.2

Invest in a more comprehensive book
Solid info, though the same primary knowledge can be obtained by a cursory glance through larger more comprehensive books.

Very inexpensive book and that’s what I received. Very little information. If you want a very brief overview of the program this might be ok. But if you need any questions answered, go for a more advanced, in depth guide.

    Great!!
It’s so much better than Premiere Pro. Very easy to learn and extremely fast!!

    Not worth the money.
Helped very little. Could not find how to do what I wanted to do. (Just make a DVD from what was on my camera.) The author seemed to try and impress you with what he could. A newby needs to start at the beginning. You don’t run a marathon when you need to learn to walk.

A great ‘newbie’ guide which got me up and running with Final Cut in no time. It does exactly as it says on the cover so, as long as you’re not expecting it to give you a complete crash course, you won’t be disappointed.

It’s a useful complete guide about FCPXGood for beginners, not too long nor too short. I recommend it for the price.

Na het switchen van microsoft video editing naar Apple video editing zocht ik iets dat mij snel de belangrijkste dingen kon uitleggen. Ik heb aan dit boek niet zoveel gehad.
