Amazing value, easy installation, nice upgrade from OEM
Just finished installing this in my daughter’s recent purchase — 2010 Subaru Impreza 2.5i Premium. I’ve only installed two other car stereos and this was the easiest, by far. The supplied main wiring harness was a match, so no crimping, soldering, or taping required. The extra harness for the built-in AM/FM antenna didn’t match, so I just used the existing antenna cable in the car.The camera installation was easy, as far as the radio goes. Spliced the camera’s power cable and the little wire hanging off the camera’s video cable into the car’s reverse light wire. Drilled a new hole into the metal for ground in the trunk. Ran the video wire under the trim and carpet, behind the glove box, and up to the head unit. Connected the little wire hanging off the other end of the camera’s video cable to the pink wire on the main wiring harness. I crimped a blade connector, rather than a permanent splice, so it could be easily disconnected when the radio is removed. This little cable tells the unit to switch to the camera view whenever the car is put into reverse. The microphone was easy to run to the steering column. I taped it in front of the steering wheel with black Gorilla tape. I also ran one of the USB connectors to the tray below the climate controls — there was already a hole there. After transferring the vents from the old trim to the new unit, I snapped it in place (no screws required) and powered up. The first boot takes 20-30 seconds. Subsequent boots (turning the car off and on) are really fast, maybe 3 seconds. The screen is big and clear. The touch interface is responsive. There are 64 home screen themes to choose from. The sound is basically the same as the OEM stereo, meaning it’s not great, but that’s not the fault of the head unit — it’s the wiring, speakers, and lack of real power.Overall, I’m really pleased with this radio. For the price of under $100 this was an amazing value. I’d rather have this than a Sony, Pioneer, or some other overpriced top brand. I’d buy this again in a heartbeat.

    Not a satisfied customer
If I could give zero stars I would. I contacted the company and told them the dec stopped working after I had it installed they ask me to send some picture of the screen after I had already had it uninstalled because it was not working had to spend my own money to have it turned on and now they want me to download some update that I have no idea how to do. I will not be buying from them again. They expect you to jump through hoops for their product that dosnt work.

    Poor instalation data
Unit doesn’t have proper amount of information how connect to the car. Only one wire harness of few matches physically. Lack of information makes installation impassable. There’s no contact information to reach the Technical Support.
