Don’t start the end into the lock until you have it right where you want it
We just put a fence around our 60’x90′ plot. We used Tposts and welded wire panels (16’x50″). On some of the posts we used the regular fence clips to hold the wire, but on others, especially where it was harder to get to, we used these zip ties.This is an area that won’t have any large animals in it or need to keep out any. Mostly it is just a barrier for the neighbors dogs and to deter trespassing.The zip ties are sturdy and easy to use, although, once you get the end of the strip started into the lock, you are committed. They don’t back out.I wouldn’t use these on a fence that had livestock or large animals they simply are not that sturdy, but they were exactly what I needed, and they worked great. I would purchase again.

My go to ties!!
I buy these for everything from fencing to automotive use! You won’t find a better affordable and durable tie. You must have some kind of tin snip or cutters to trim these as regular scissors won’t hack it. Only drawback for me is sometimes the ball wants to lock before you can slide the end through. I make sure to install them with the ball falling towards the top of the lock, so upside down.These have been used to build a hog pen for a smaller pig, securing cattle panels in horse pasture, creating my own hangers for planters, securing exhaust wrap on auto exhausts, last minute clamps on the race car, securing chicken wire and small fencing onto chicken runs. If you can zip tie it, these are PERFECT.

A little extra work to secure them
The best for our intense sun in Tucson that will degrade plastic quickly. They are not as secure as the normal zip ties. You have to bend the tail so it can’t pull back through and loosen. There’s a good video on YouTube with someone installing a muffler part who demonstrates using an angled pair of needle nose pliers. I was able to make that work after seeing the video.

Make sure you have the correct tool for these and they are great. They are slowly replacing everything outside that is not using one of these – should not take too long as the plastic type ones fail outside in no time.
