I just received my order today and would like to start with the packaging first, delivery and then quality. Upon opening the box I found a box within a box which was nicely fit and protected with bubble bags. As I opened the second box I found cardboard neatly cut and arranged neatly and snug around item to keep it secure and protected and from shifting around. The box was neatly wrapped with packaging paper for protection against any rubbing wear. I must say I was very pleased to see this and at that moment I knew I was in for a pleasant surprise without even seeing the box yet. I ordered on a Friday and received shipment on the following Friday which was good and free shipping. Upon unwrapping my box and examining the merchandise inside and out for quality and functionality I was very pleased. No defects and the beauty and quality was second to none. I could not be any happier with my purchase, it made my day. I have been waiting for a jewelry chest like this my whole life and would recommend this to anyone who enjoys high quality and beauty.

beautiful but expensive
It is a nice box, nice enough that I’d like to give it 5 stars, but I cannot.  This little chest is well made and beautiful, so it gets 4 stars. Before explaining why I only gave it four stars, I’d like to make a few observations. This box is lighter than I expected, but I didn’t take any off for that. (I bought it to hoard stacked silver, so I need something fairly sturdy. And this is fairly sturdy.) The description touts hand-tooled leather. I think that’s a stretch. There’s almost no leather to this thing that I can see except for the lid strap and the key ring. But I didn’t take any off for that; I don’t care about the leather.  Just saying. Also, the authenticity card is a little bit cheesy.  The lock does not function properly on the box I received. It engages a bit, but I can still easily open the lid. I don’t really care about this and did not take any stars away because of it. I mean, if you drop the box from waist height, it would shatter, so the lock only keeps out stealth thieves. Again, I’m just telling you so you know what to expect.The reason I leave off a star is because, despite being the work of a Peruvian artist, it’s more than twice as expensive as other boxes of this size. That’s a big premium.All that being said, I’m satisfied with the Box. I never considered sending it back. It was just a little expensive.

Heirloom quality
Wow! This jewelry box is nothing short of gorgeous! The workmanship is outstanding as and the quality is first rate. It arrived securely packaged and in perfect condition. Definitely a heirloom to be passed down. I can’t fault this box in any way and highly recommend it.

No leather inside Inca box
Wood is not deeply stained like photo. Very well crafted so it’s growing on me. No leather interior.
