Windows 7 users BEWARE!
I have used Eset for many years, and Windows 7. Microsoft, of course, does everything they can to “encourage” people to use their newer OS. Eset apparently has close ties to Microsoft and has joined their campaign to push people to upgrade their OS. Eset now makes it impossible to install on older OS. You must install updates from Microsoft, who, of course, don’t want you to get or install these updates. (try it) And Microsoft has “updated'” the updates to include software that will connect with Microsoft every now and then, ( in the background ) and verify everything on your computer is OK. Eset was great for a long time, but now, apparently, if you use an older operating system, they don’t want you to use their software anymore.

Lots of computer slow downs
ESET has a good reputation and I had no problem getting the software installed and activated. Unfortunately I have frequent major slowdowns that I never had with other anti virus programs. I am running on a MAC 3GHz i5 with 32 GB of RAM.
