Better, cheaper options available
This car works as expected, drives straight and everything is in working order. The reasons I only gave 3 stars are that this car cost nearly 4 times what I usually pay (at discount stores for full transparency) but in my opinion doesn’t work as well as the cheaper ones. I don’t like the remote as is is not as easy to use as practically every other remote car I’ve purchased. The battery doesn’t seem to last as long and the range is poor as compared to others. Can’t recommend this one.

Nice detail to the car
I got this for a friend that loves the McLaren as a gift. He was super impressed by the detail of the car and they way it ran. He has a son that is special needs and they love to race this around their apartment complex. The controls are responsive and it handles very well. They always have a good time and he lets his son drive the care as well with no issues. It has taken a few crashes and is still holding up very well and seems to be quite durable. For a nice little gift that gives a father and son something fun to do it is a great buy. You will be buying a few batteries depending on how much you play with the car.

Fun and tough
This is a fun but tough little remote control car; durable enough, that I would trust handing this off to a child and not worrying that it would break right after. The molding and body is rather “forgiving” but still looks great, with just enough details. The controls are simple, and do not require a lot of thought. I just put batteries in it (5 AAA’s) and started to have fun. Rubber tires do make for a quieter ride, so it’s a little more user friendly indoors. Goes fast, but not too fast, but overall a fun time, with something that looks good on my shelf when not being used.
