Mini GT Liberty Walk AZ-1 — Metal Build, Sharp Detail, Collector Quality
I bought this as a gift for my 6-year-old grandson, who loves cars. That said, I did not take it out of the packaging, because this clearly sits in the gray area between toy and collectible. The detailing is spot on. Proportions, paint, wheels, and overall finish are exactly what you want to see in a quality diecast. It’s made of metal, not lightweight plastic, and it feels solid even through the packaging. The blister packaging itself is well done and presentation-grade. If this ends up staying sealed for display or collecting, it already looks the part. Nothing feels cheap or rushed here.Because I didn’t open it, I can’t comment on play durability or moving parts — and that’s intentional. For a young car fan, it’s exciting to look at. For an adult collector, it’s perfectly reasonable to keep sealed.Bottom line: whether this becomes a display piece or a future keepsake, the quality is there. The detail and metal construction justify the price, and it works equally well as a gift or a collectible.

lots of detail for 1/64 scale, overkill on packaging?
Diecast is a great hobby that I’m just not into, but this car may have made a convert of me. The Liberty Walk brand is of course, worldwide and a cultural phenomenon. The car builds they have are legendary and I’m happy to say I have quite a few of their 1/24 scale build on my shelf. So, when the opportunity came up to nab a 1/64 scale version of an AZ1, I took it!The car itself is proudly displayed with my 1 other 1/64 G wagon my Tomy, but I really do like LB Walks take on the AZ1. The decals are very detailed and the scale is realistic. You’ll see from the picture that you get not only the car, but the cardboard package and all of it covered in plastic. I think that’s overkill, but hey, that’s just me.

Highly detailed 1/64 die cast car
This is a really nicely made and very detailed die cast model car replication of the Mazda AZ-1.There is an incredible amount of details. The headlights are clearly visible and the tail lights are small plastic pieces that make the back of the car very realistic. The packaging is appealing and giftable in my opinion. The large blister pack of clear plastic definitely protects the car from damage.Should you wish to remove the car from the blister pack, the manufacturer provides a nice box for you to store your car in or perhaps place the car on top of the box and place on a shelf where your other collectible die cast cars are.I also like the fact that this is an officially licensed product. In my opinion, when the manufacturer has a license the quality of the item is generally better. This die cast car is a beautifully produced collectible. I am going to keep the car and the box and just display the entire blister pack unit on my 1/64 die cast shelf.

Beautiful tiny model of the Mazda AZ-1
It’s a perfect 1/64 replica of the real Liberty Walk vehicle.I went to the Liberty Walk website to look up the real Mazda AZ-1 they made and reviewed the pictures compared to the model car. It’s identical, just a tinier version. Even the red interior and the smaller decals for AME on the rear corners are there. The packaging is a retail blister pack with a white background and “limited edition” clearly labeled. The car is visible in the blister, on top of a Mini GT box, which also has a picture of the car. On the back is some text to note features of the replica and a window cut out of the package insert so you can see the hologram on the box with the number. If you’re like most collectors, you might not even open it and just keep it as is, and that would yield the one drawback: the packaging doesn’t make for good stackable storage. But the car itself is a very well made replica and is easy to recommend for fans.

Good for both a collector’s item or a toy
This is a toy car which matches the form and style of classic matchbox cars. That is to say it fits in the palm of one’s hand, and it has a sturdy metal body with some heft to it. The cab, the undercarriage, and the wheels are plastic, but it rolls smoothly, and due to the metal weight, it will perform well on any kind of hot wheels® track one might choose to run it on.The car is in a standard plastic packaging when purchased, but it has the setup for a collectors’ item, meaning that once one opens the package, there is a form-fitting plastic blister and cardboard box for storage. The car and the materials it comes with all have the feeling of a collectors’ item, so whether one purchases it as a toy or as a showpiece, it is still a good purchase.

Well-Detailed Diecast, but Price Feels High…
This diecast model is nicely done and looks sharp right out of the packaging. The detailing on the LB-Works AZ1 is crisp, with clean paint application and good proportions for a 1:18 scale model. The blister packaging presents it well and keeps everything protected, making it suitable for display without needing additional work. The model feels solid and well assembled, and the design captures the aggressive LB-Works styling accurately. It looks great on a shelf and stands out among other diecast cars, especially if you’re a fan of this brand or style. That said, the price feels on the high side for what you get. While the quality is good, it doesn’t quite feel like a standout compared to other diecast models in a similar price range. You’re definitely paying a premium for the branding and presentation.Overall, this is a good-looking, well-made collectible, but the cost may be hard to justify unless you’re specifically collecting LB-Works models or this car in particular.

Looks Great
This little model is honestly really cool. The details are clean for a 1/64 scale and the wide body look gives it so much attitude despite how small it is. It looks great on a desk or shelf and feels like something made for collectors, not a cheap toy. The packaging is also nice if you like keeping things sealed. I got it as a gift for my little brother and he was ecstatic.
