A Great Anthology of Classic Mythology
As a fan of Joseph Campbell’s “Hero With A Thousand Faces”, I found this encyclopedia about mythology very intriguing. By diving into its pages, I got to see firsthand the many elements of mythology passed down from many tribes and cultures. Starting with the Celtic folklore as well as the Egyptian, African, and Norse, I can see where the basics of telling a good started. And of course the classic mythology of the Greeks and Romans are there too with their many gods and goddesses taking center stage. Their timeless struggles with the demigods and the many battles between the heroes and mortals. No matter which culture one explores, they will see the usual search for information, enlightenment, and self-discovery that is classic with mythology. And this book, The World Mythology Encyclopedia, takes you on that journey woven within each tale told.

    The real storyline
I found this read to be better than how Hollywood de[icts the stories. I also notice how the information in its correct depiction some what parallels that of Christian beliefs.

    Myths & Legends
Such a fascinating subject. Reading about each cultures myths and legends was interesting enough but to be able to compare the cultures and see how legends differ or traveled to other areas was even more interesting.

    It’s OK book
Not really sure I’d spend $25 on it. It’s only 211 pages. But it does have some good information in it and seems to be well written.
